Joining the group
We always welcome applications from motivated individuals who are deeply interested in understanding how bacteria function at a molecular level.
Prospective graduate students
Please apply through the link to the Molecular Biology and Biochemistry PhD program by January 15 for full consideration. Note that admissions decisions are made by committee and PhD students in MBB typically conduct rotations with multiple research groups in their first year before selecting a lab. If you are especially interested in joining our research group, please contact Prof. Fisher and indicate your interest in your application essay.
Prospective undergraduates
We are not currently accepting new undergraduate researchers. If you are interested in the possibility of joining the lab in future semesters (Spring 2026 or later), please email Prof. Fisher with a brief description of why you are interested in doing research and your current CV/resume to Prof. Fisher at ofisher @ wesleyan . edu.
